Our promise to you

We're committed to offering a positive candidate experience

Our application process is designed to bring out the best in you

1. CV and application

You'll upload your CV and complete a short application form, which will be assessed against the minimum criteria for the role.

2. Online testing

If you're successful after application, you'll complete an online strengths-based assessment. For some roles, we'll also invite you to complete a short cognitive assessment.

3. Video interview

This is a one-way interview where you'll record your answers to strengths-based questions, at a time that suits you. Alternatively, you can request an audio only interview.

4. Assessment centre or...

For our Graduate and Apprentice programmes, you’ll be invited to a virtual assessment centre.  This will involve strengths-based group and individual exercises, and a strengths based interview.

4. ...Interview

If you've applied for an Industrial Placement, instead of an assessment centre, the final stage of the process is a ‘live’, strengths-based, video interview.

5. Offer and onboarding

Successful candidates will receive an offer and contract, and complete pre-employment, security, police and health checks (where applicable). Your Early Careers Manager will contact you discuss your induction.

Strengths-based assessment

We believe you perform your best at work when you’re doing something you’re good at and you enjoy, and our strengths-based assessments are designed to bring out the best in you.

For people starting their career, the strengths approach explores what motivates and energises you, rather than focusing on your experience.

Diversity and Inclusion

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. It’s a powerful statement of our intent to make sure we’re about the people who work with us – a rich and unique mix of backgrounds and experiences that’s vital to shaping a strong and fresh-thinking organisation like ours.

At EDF we will not tolerate any behaviour that does not uphold our Everyone’s Welcome vision.
