EDF is leading the transition to a cleaner, low emission electric future, tackling climate change and helping Britain achieve Net Zero. Around a fifth of the UK's electricity is generated by our eight nuclear power stations, helping power our customers' homes and businesses.

Join our New Nuclear Build Legal Team
As our projects at Sizewell C and Hinkley Point C progress, we're excited to be expanding our Legal team and are offering opportunities in roles based in Bristol and London.
Claire Gooding (General Counsel, HPC & Nuclear Development) shares what it’s like to be part of the Legal Team supporting the delivery of these major projects: “EDF’s New Nuclear Build Legal Team is at the cutting edge of project development, striving to push boundaries to support the delivery of the UK’s first new nuclear power station in a generation. Working as Legal Counsel at EDF
We have Legal teams in place across our business who specialise in legal matters specific to their area. Our business units include: Customers business and Corporate functions; Nuclear New Build projects and our Generation fleet.

The Green Recovery
In November 2020 10 Downing Street released a Ten Point Plan for a Green Recovery in the UK. EDF fully backs this plan with our exciting nuclear development project, Hinkley Point C, creating jobs across the UK and having the ability to power millions of homes with low carbon electricity. Sizewell C is ready to do the same.
Here’s how EDF’s UK CEO, Simone Rossi, responded to the announcement: “The Government announcement is a game changer and we are right behind it. We have a huge contribution to make across nuclear, wind, solar, storage, hydrogen, electric heating, energy saving and electric vehicles. Hinkley Point C is providing £14 billion of work to the UK supply chain and Sizewell C is ready to create great jobs across the country now.”
